George Clooney- winner in the category “Best Actor- drama”, movie “The Descendants”
This was the third time George Clooney obtained the Golden Globe Award 2012 this Sunday. Clooney won over such a notable actors as Leonardo DiCaprio “J. Edgar”, Michael Fassbender “Shame”, Ryan Gosling “The Ides of March” and Brad Pitt “Moneyball”. This victory makes him the main contender for the Oscar Academy Awards coming in the next month.

Jean Dujardin has danced away with the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical.
You won’t believe it but Jean Dujardin was dancing with the Golden Globe statue for the Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical. He started his career with the silent film “The Artist”. Without using a single word, he managed to tell the story of George Valentin, who was late 20’s silent film star.
Dujardin is already a notable actor in France, but Golden Globe victory will make him a serious pretender for the coming Oscar ceremony. French actor managed to win over such American actors as Brendan Gleeson “The Guard”, Joseph Gordon-Levitt “50/50″, Ryan Gosling “Crazy, Stupid Love” and Owen Wilson “Midnight in Paris”.

Idris Elba- winner in the category “Best Actor- miniseries/movie”, movie “Luther”
“This is for the fans,” the former star of “The Wire” said first and foremost. “I have the most loyal fans in the world.” The British actor ended with a shout out to his daughter, having a Globes party at home. “We did it, Mama!” he exclaimed.
“The Wire” former star Idris Elba dedicated his success to his fans: “This is for the fans. I have the most loyal fans in the world”. He ended up his speech by shouting out to his daughter “We did it, Mama!” For this category were also nominated Hugh Bonneville “Downton Abbey”, William Hurt “Too Big to Fail”, Bill Nighy “Page Eight” and Dominic West “The Hour”.

Matt LeBlanc- winner in the category “Best Actor- TV comedy/musical”, movie “Episodes”
LeBlanc was nominated for this category three times: once for Joey and twice for Friends. “When you don’t win, you always say it’s nice to be nominated” he said. LeBlanc noticed that Episodes don’t differ much from Friends in terms of the idea behind the comedy and style of humour. This past Sunday LeBlanc beat out the following actors: Alec Baldwin “30 Rock”; David Duchovny, Californication; Johnny Galecki, The Big Bang Theory; and Thomas Jane, Hung.

Peter Dinklage- winner in the category “Best Supporting Actor- series, miniseries or movie”, movie “Game of Thrones”
The talented Dinklage didn’t forget to mention his mom in the on-scene speech “I just love our moms ‘cause they keep us humble”. And of course Peter thanked the author of “Game of Thrones” by the words “His prolific imagination is such a fun world to be a part of”. The other contenders were Paul Giamatti “Too Big to Fail”, Guy Pearce “Mildred Pierce”, Tim Robbins “Cinema Verite”, Eric Stonestreet “Modern Family”.

Christopher Plummer- winner in the category “Best Supporting Actor”, movie “Beginners”
Christopher Plummer was the first to get his prize at the Golden Globes 2012 by winning in the category “Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture”. During the acceptance speech the veteran of movie production honoured his competitors: Kenneth Branagh “My Week With Marilyn”, Albert Brooks “Drive”, Jonah Hill “Moneyball”and Viggo Mortensen “A Dangerous Method”. Plummer also thanked his 43-year-old wife “for bravery and beauty that hands him still”.

Martin Scorsese- winner in the category “Best Director”, movie “Hugo”
Scorsese’s debut both in 3D and in family films brought him a Golden Globe victory. This is his third victory but previously he was winning in the dramatic categories for “The Departed” and “Gangs of New York”. Scorsese beaten out Michel Hazanavicius “The Artist,” Woody Allen “Midnight in Paris”, George Clooney “The Ides of March” and Alexander Payne for “The descendants”.
