Grammy 2012: Best and Wost Dressed Men

The last 54th Grammy Awards that took place last night had both winners and losers. The newcomer Adele got six Grammys, Nicki Minaj appeared in weird monk outfit and Rihanna looked stunning in her black tight fitting dress. But the ordinary viewers paid more attention to the outfits and looks rather than to the nominees winners. Take a look at best and worst dressed men at the 2012 Grammy Awards.

LL Cool J- Hit

Besides his notable job hosting the ceremony last night and outstanding speeches on the scene, LL didn’t disappoint the audience with his look. The classic velvet Armani suit coupled with a snow white shirt, bow-tie and leather shoes perfectly reflected his individuality and personal style. And the newsboy cap added the touch of frivolity to the look.

Grammy 2012: Best and Wost Dressed Men

Flo Rida- Hit

Rapper Flo Rida looks stunning in white elegant tuxedo combined with black pants. The white jacket not only perfectly reflects the style of old Hollywood glamour but also plays well with his tone of skin. His beautiful date made him look like James Bond of modern times.

Adam Levine- Hit

What a nice choice- black narrow tuxedo coupled with lavender strip shirt and complemented with the pocket square of the same shade. But he goes to the background when seeing his date Anne V.  She grabbed all the public’s attention with her extremely outright dress. It seems like she didn’t have enough time to tie or zip her dress completely after a tumultuous night.

Foster the People- Hit

Considering the fact that this is their first Grammy ceremony, guys from the rock band Foster the People were looking pretty descent. They kept it to the casual sport style by wearing blazers with subtle patterns. One more advantage about their look is matching in style and attention to the details.

Grammy 2012: Best and Wost Dressed Men

Mario Manningham and Victor Cruz- Hit

Seems like they bought their outfits for the Award at the same place as their suits are of same shade of gray with bright accessories performed in baby blue and lavender. Besides finding the matching combination of the suits, shirts and accessories, they managed to find the ties of the proper width.

Grammy 2012: Best and Wost Dressed Men

Tyga- Miss

The Gangster look of Tyga was probably supposed to draw all the attention to him, but instead just provoked irritation, especially his red velvet jacket in combination with a tie in sparkles. Besides, holding a cigar on the red carpet is kind of rude.

Tony Bennett- Hit

Who would ever say that Tony Bennett is 85 years old. He looked amazing in his classy satin tux with a small pocket square sticking out of his pocket.

Grammy 2012: Best and Wost Dressed Men

Rick Ross- Miss

Seems like Rick Ross attends the ceremonies of this scale on the regular basis and doesn’t bother himself much with the outfit selecting- he just grabbed the first items he saw in his wardrobe. So, Toucan Sam sweater and daddy jeans combined with white sneakers are not the best choice for the red carpet appearance.

Grammy 2012: Best and Wost Dressed Men

Bruno Mars- Hit

Thom Browne’s gray suit caught everybody’s eyes not with the glitz and glitter, but with the clean cut look it gave to Mr. Mars. The black tie and the white pocket square perfectly complemented the look. Even short pants and shoes worn on bare feet didn’t injure the entire look

Grammy 2012: Best and Wost Dressed Men

Justin Vernon (Bon Iver)- Miss

Bon Iver’s look reminds the style of late 60’s with its brown tweed suit, casual belt of the same color and work boots. Besides that, the blue stripped shirt and the dark gray tie were absolutely off the topic. And the entire look was completed with bold head and scraggly beard. I would imagine my professor teaching philosophy in such an outfit, but not the music award nominee.

Grammy 2012: Best and Wost Dressed Men

Common- Hit

Rapper from Chicago Common became the perfect example of the glam casual style. His look definitely stood out in the crowd of other Grammy male nominees. He left all the pathos to other performers and chose the super casual look. The black blazer of unusual silhouette and white shoe soles made the entire look stylish.

Grammy 2012: Best and Wost Dressed Men

Ryan Seacrest- Miss

There is nothing to cavil at Ryan Seacrest’s look: he opted for a perfectly fitting two-button tux with a white shirt and a black tie. But its shortcoming is in its perfection as it makes the entire appearance boring. The look is so template and banal, so it doesn’t even arouse neither positive or negative emotions.

Grammy 2012: Best and Wost Dressed Men

Neil Patrick Harris- Hit

Neil Patrick Harris surprised me with a sharp but at the same time simple look. His pinstriped well-tailored three-piece suit ideally outlined his features and allowed showing off his trim physique.
