Antonio Marras, the Creative Director of Kenzo worked out an incredible A Place in the Sun Spring/Summer 2012 menswear collection through pre-lapsarian sixties, times, when handsome proto-jet-setters spent summers in Portofino or surfed on Waikiki. Those guys from the sixties wore hibiscus-printed linens alongside silk scarves, or shorts suits of that Klein blue combining shoes and socks of the same color. they managed to mix color and print in a perfect way, for example, one might see guys in cotton suits of raspberry and leaf green with tropical floral prints. Even more strict outfits in gray and navy was decorated by pop of fuchsia somewhere. And Antonio Marras used flower prints in a new camo. He begot the loose Hawaiian shirt he’d found in a vintage shop in Texas. A Place in the Sun embodies summer, beach sides and optimism. Yves Klein blue, sunshine yellow, and the fuchsia of bougainvillea are colors that can make miracles with the mood not only of a man wearing it but also the surroundings.
